Ever wonder how the Society6 tote bags actually look? Well wonder no more. I ordered several this holiday to give as gifts and I thought I would post how they turned out. I love them! I ordered several of the 13″ size tote bag. These canvas bags have 2″ gusset at the base, with an all black interior. Artwork is repeated on the other side. Great little book bag/beach bag/shopping bag etc. I’m always adding more designs, so check my shop to see what’s new over there. Here are some pics….
This month and for the rest of the year I am busy working on new originals for an upcoming show this spring happening in Taipei again. This year it’s a “sea” of imagination here in the studio 🙂 Some pieces have been posted, more to come over the next few months.

CindyThornton.com is now linked up to my etsy shop, so you can shop direct from my website. The final check-out happens on etsy, but now you don’t have to go find me there. Just click the “Store” link on my site to see what’s new. All items that ship from my studio are on hand and typically ship out next business day. “Studio View” is another new section where I post photos of what’s been happening in the studio. These postings usually happen after midnight (the only time I seem to be able to get paintings done these days). So if you want to see what’s in the works before I post them, visit that section of my site.
Lastly, I wanted to mention that I am currently offering signed canvas prints. These are not limited editions, but I only carry them periodically so quantities are limited. These gloss finished giclée reproductions are professionally printed on a tight weave canvas that produce a rich and clear printed image of the original . Special ink coating is used to protect the image and also to provide the surface with fade resistance for 75+ years. Each measures 12″ x 12″ and comes wired and ready to hang. I sign each print on the front – and pencil sign and title the back of the canvas. Below are the select works currently available.

Just released these 4 new signed limited editions. Only 20 per edition. Each is printed on 8×10 archival paper and is titled, signed, and numbered. I list these individually and sell them in order starting with the lowest number first. So, if a link takes you to a “sold out” item, unless that is print number 20…I have just not re-listed the next number yet. These 4 new prints will be featured in the top section of my etsy shop for the first week of September.
Note: Any orders placed Friday (8/31) – Monday (9/3) will ship out Wednesday (9/5)

So I was perusing through the art over at art.com and I stumbled upon a feature page titled “Introducing Independent Artists” with 5 featured artworks in a rotation at the top. My painting “A Solar System” was one of them…Wow!
I have quite a few fine art prints posted on their sister site ArtistRising…the current count is 77. And I will be adding quite a few more over the next few weeks. All prints purchased through this site are printed and shipped through the art.com company. Ever wonder how their framed prints turn out? Art.com actually sent me that print as a gift because it was the 2nd place finalist in their 2010 art competition. It was a NICE surprise when I received that package in the mail. It’s a 24″ x 24″ framed and matted print (looks like a black frame but it is a mahogany color), and sits right here above my desk…
Another print was recently spotted on the Mayor’s desk from the city of Acworth, GA. I don’t know if art.com did the framing, but you can see the option of how an unmatted print looks framed in this video.

Finally finished the paintings for the gallery in Taiwan. They have all been packed up and ship out this coming week. For those who have been waiting to see new prints, I’ll be working on them this month. The 8″x10″ signed limited editions will come later, but the larger fine art poster prints have started tonight.
