For those who have mentioned that they check my store a lot to see when new art gets posted, this blog post is for you.  I just signed up for twitter this week and I guess this will be my new “breaking news” tool I use for updating newly completed works, upcoming projects, and sale auctions.  Feel free to follow me by clicking the pic!  -Cindy

Stratosphere

June 29, 2009

Sold – To a collector in Australia
30″ x 12″ acrylic on canvas
 Stratosphere

A rustic copper gold/green sky effect with little hanging stars and a large tree on top of a hill.  Made me think of what you would find at the very top of the sky… hence the name “Stratosphere”.

Night Fields

June 17, 2009

SOLD – to a collector in England
Night Fields
A mini painting (12×4) on 1.25″ thick canvas wrap.  Swarovski stars, a night breeze, moonlight.

Cindy Thornton Art

I had a handful of these mini 4″x4″ mini canvases and decided I would paint a series of toy portraits.  Canvases are thick – about 1.5″ in width.  They look great grouped together, but thought individually they would make for a unique baby shower gift or something too.  If you like them, I’ll be posting more in my etsy shop throughout the summer.

My etsy art shop will be closed from March 24 – mid/late April.  If there is a piece of art on this blog that states it is available and then the link takes you nowhere, chances are the art piece is still available for purchase.  Links will become active again once I re-open the store.  Thanks for your patience!  -Cindy
